Handcrafted in southwestern France from solid French chestnut — the wood a farmhouse reached for long before walnut was affordable. Chestnut grows straight and light, carries its own tannins, and ages to a warm honey that walnut never quite gives you. This one is cut as a long, narrow plank with a shaped handle at one end: not a chopping block but a serving board, made to run down the middle of a table.
