"Mot Kvällen" (Toward Evening)
Infuse your home with whimsical folk charm and storytelling history through this captivating vintage naive-style oil painting by Swedish artist A. Stjernfelt. Titled Mot Kvällen (Toward Evening) in the lower left, the scene depicts a serene end-of-day return on a rural Swedish farmstead. Figures in red coats steer horse-drawn wooden wagons along a winding dirt road accompanied by grazing cattle, traditional red barnsteads, and a rushing river spanned by a small wooden bridge. Rendered in a delightful naïf aesthetic with a warm, earthy palette of rustic red, ochre, forest green, and slate grey, this large original work is presented in a classic wood-grained frame with gold-gilt profile accents.
