Montmartre Charcuterie Board
Named for the Hill That Milled Paris Its Flour
Handcrafted in southwestern France from solid French walnut, and shaped like the peel a baker slides into an oven— a full round with a long, straight handle rising from the top. Montmartre is the Paris hill that once carried some thirty windmills, grinding the grain that fed the city's bakeries; the name belongs on a board built for bread. The pale and the dark of the walnut are laid side by side across the face, so the grain reads in broad vertical bands rather than one flat tone, and it carries enough weight to be brought to the table loaded and set straight down.
Because we honor the natural grain of genuine hardwood, no two boards are exactly alike—giving you a truly one-of-a-kind heirloom piece for your home.
Why You'll Love It
- The Handle Does Real Work: Long enough to grip properly with one hand, which is the difference between carrying a loaded board across a room and edging it along the counter. Hang it by the handle between dinners and it becomes part of the kitchen.
- A Round Board Serves Differently: No corners to leave empty. A wheel of brie in the middle and everything else worked outward — a round board fills the way a table does, and it reaches everyone sitting around it.
- Premium French Walnut: Premium hardwood was chosen specifically for its durability and hygiene. It resists knife marks better than softwoods, is naturally less porous, and is built to last for decades.
- Thoughtful Details: Featuring clean, unadorned lines, the natural contrast of light and dark walnut across the face, and our subtle laser-engraved signature logo at the base of the handle.
- Artisan Made: Handcrafted in small batches in southwestern France, near Toulouse.
